Every packaging machine contains components that are subjected to daily use. Cylinders perform large numbers of repetitive movements, sealing plates are heated and cooled, and cutting knives continuously cut the sealing film. Conveyor components, pneumatic systems and electrical parts must also continue to function reliably.

Production processes may also change over time. A customer may start using a bucket with a different diameter, a new type of sealing film, another product or a higher production capacity. As a result, settings, format sets or components may require renewed attention.

When a component needs to be replaced, you do not want to wait for an extended period. Downtime has an immediate impact on production, planning and delivery reliability.

Mechanical spare parts for Unilid Solutions machines are therefore generally available directly from stock. We can also supply pneumatic and electrical components, although in many cases these are available worldwide through reliable suppliers.

This is particularly valuable for customers with international production facilities. They are not always dependent on a single specific supplier or long delivery times from the Netherlands.

When designing our machines, we deliberately select robust, commonly available components. This not only makes the machines reliable in operation, but also practical to service over the long term.

Refurbishment in Our Own Workshop

Not every component needs to be replaced completely. In some cases, refurbishment is a practical and sustainable solution.

A good example is the sealing head. It must fit the shape and diameter of the bucket, cup or container accurately. Suitable format sets with sealing heads can be supplied for different bucket diameters. These format sets can be changed quickly, without first requiring a lengthy cooling period.

When the cutting knife in a sealing head becomes worn, Unilid Solutions can fit the sealing head with a new knife in its own workshop. This means that the complete sealing head does not always have to be replaced.

The existing component can therefore be returned to reliable operation, while the machine remains practical to maintain.

On-Site Service or Local Support

Unilid Solutions machines are used worldwide. Service must therefore not only be technically effective, but also practical to carry out at the location where the machine is operating.

Maintenance and repairs can be performed by our own technicians or by local engineers. Because our machines are designed to be straightforward and user-friendly, many inspections and replacements can be carried out locally.

Where necessary, our engineers provide support in diagnosing faults, selecting the correct component or assessing a technical modification. This may involve a practical question about a machine setting, but it may also concern support with a repair or machine modification.

For Unilid Solutions, service therefore means more than responding when a machine has stopped. It means thinking along with the customer, supplying parts, providing technical support and helping customers resume production as quickly and reliably as possible.

Modifications When Your Production Changes

A packaging process rarely remains exactly the same for many years. You may switch to a new bucket format, change the sealing film, increase production capacity or decide to integrate an existing stand-alone machine into an automatic production line.

In such situations, an existing machine does not always have to be replaced immediately. Unilid Solutions supplies format sets and sealing heads for different types of buckets, cups and containers. Our engineers can also modify machines or integrate individual modules into more extensive production lines.

The semi-automatic stand-alone machines from Unilid Solutions are designed so that they can later be integrated into a fully automatic line. This allows the machine to grow alongside the development of your business.
